This week in math we practiced with finding pattern rules with single and two step rules. The coordinate grid was introduced and students should be able to plot the coordinates from an ordered pair. The table and graph practice is due for Monday, May 6th.
This week in science we have been researching facts on the sun. Students made a sun web with information from the videos from the sky science website. These webs were due on Thursday May 1st. We have tried to get outside to tell time with a sundial but there has been no sun! Hoping to get outside next week if we can get some rays to shine through the clouds. Students also researched the moon. Students need to understand that the moon phases are predictable and be able to explain and illustrate the phases of the moon. In Humanities, we have spent a lot of time preparing for the upcoming Provincial Achievement Test. In doing so, we have written and edited both stories and news articles. Students should have received their marks for their stories late in the week. We have also done a number of practice editing worksheets. To wrap up Ancient Athens, students wrote a quiz on Thursday. They will be receiving the marks for these on Monday. We have also been working on our Democracy or Not project. It is due on Tuesday next week, when it will be presented during class. Reminder: PAT on Wednesday next week - bring a CLEAR water bottle and HEALTHY snacks! Comments are closed.
